Benjamin Dushman (b. 2002)
It started with movement. It became a dance. What it means to make, is to express. Enjoying the making through large gestural marks. The way they all begin to connect. Practicing the process, every mark becomes exemplary. Even the unseen. Simple actions, too. Loud on commentary. There's music. In the dance, in the work. Written out, and expressed. My unique lived experience. My life, our interaction.
Benjamin Dushman is a Chicago based artist working in painting, drawing, and sculpture. He received his BA in Studio Art from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2025). His work has been displayed at The Cosmo, Gallery 003, and Agitator Gallery.
